Artists in Action
We believe in the power of creativity as a voice for justice and healing.
Artists in Action (AiA) is a summer youth employment program that we hope to expand to year-round. In collaboration with professional artists, our young people bring shalom (peace, justice, healing, wholeness) through visual art pieces (benches, murals, sculptures) and performances (music, drama, spoken word, and dance) in our community.
Often, we cross-collaborate with other Boston Project programs, such as co-producing an arts-based edition of Real Talk with our Mental Health Ambassadors or organizing The Big Event, a summer artistic showcase of youth programs. This program guides young people in the process of using artistry to become community change agents.
