Codman Square Can We Talk?
A pilot site of a nationally-recognized program for post-traumatic healing.
Codman Square Can We Talk? is a safe place to share your story and have your voice heard and welcomed. It is a community-based, clinically-supported program that increases awareness and understanding of trauma, offers mental health resources, and a safe environment for what can at times be painful conversations to occur. Conversations about violence, loss, and everything in between. It is modeled after the Can We Talk? Program of the Roxbury Presbyterian Church’s Social Impact Center: Home of the Cory Johnson Program for Post-Traumatic Healing, founded by Reverend Liz Walker.
Codman Square Can We Talk? meets monthly on the 2nd Tuesday, by Zoom. In Fall 2021, we hope to begin meeting in person at Second Church of Dorchester.
Codman Square Can We Talk? is a collaborative effort anchored by Boston Project Ministries, Second Church of Dorchester, Life Church Boston, Neighborhood Church of Dorchester, and the Emmanuel Gospel Center.
